We see the Yorkshire Schools Dance Festival as more than just a fantastic platform for children and young people to share and celebrate their talents and achievements. We're also keen to ensure that the teachers and artists coordinating their school or group's involvement in YSDF are able to access support, development and training opportunities. These opportunities are free and part of the registration fee.
Each year, through the support of the York & North Yorkshire Dance Hub, we offer a twilight training workshop with a professional dance artist. In 2018 it was Jon Beney. The session gives people the opportunity to refresh their own skills and confidence, work collaboratively with other professionals and get fresh ideas on choreography and performance.
